This brand new leading hotel of the world opened its doors end of 2021. It is a long-awaited, amazing addition to the hotel offer of Antwerp. Besides the elegant and refined rooms and a huge relaxing spa complex, you are set for some fantastic culinary treats. Hilton Antwerp *****

  • Historical luxury
  • Heart of the city
  • Great breakfast buffet

Hilton is set in a historical classified building right in the center of Antwerp. Next to Meir, overlooking the Groenplaats Square. From Groenplaats, you are in walking distance from some of the most important Antwerp highlights, like the Cathedral of Our Lady, the Grote Markt and Meir.

But there is more to the Hilton Hotel than its location. The Hilton Hotel excels in many ways: it has very spacious rooms, great staff and amenities you won’t find in many other Antwerp hotels. On the downside: room decorations are outdated and there is no free WiFi in rooms. As I consider WiFi one of modern times’ must haves, I was greatly disappointed when I realized Hilton charges € 15 per day for it. Certainly seeing that Hilton is not your cheapest choice in Antwerp.

On a whole, I very much recommend staying at Hilton. And if you are not staying in the Hilton, but you do feel you can splurge a little, consider having breakfast there. The breakfast buffet is lovely and if you can score a table near the window overlooking the Groenplaats, it is very much worth the € 25 they’ll charge you for it. Do keep in mind that reservations may be necessary on weekends.

  • Warm boutique style
  • Perfect location near Central station
  • No-nonsense food at Queen A’s Kitchen

This new boutique hotel opened up in 2017. It is a great addition to the city. Perfect for those arriving by train thanks to its great location on Queen Astrid square (hence the name 😉 ) in front of the Central Station. From here, you can easily discover the city on foot.

The hotel and its 82 rooms have a nice 4* quality. The overall design is of a high standard. The decorations and ambiance is traditional, but accompanied by modern accents.

Queen A’s Kitchen serves a huge breakfast. Besides breakfast, the restaurant offers diner as well, a self-called no nonsense dining experience. I give a warm recommendation to stay at this nice hotel.
