Hilton Antwerp Old Town is all about the building and the location.
It is set in a historical classified building right in the center of Antwerp and next to Meir, overlooking the Groenplaats Square. From Groenplaats, you are in walking distance from some of the most important Antwerp highlights, like the Cathedral of Our Lady, the Grote Markt and Meir.
But there is more to this Hilton Hotel than its location. The Hilton Hotel excels in many ways: it has very spacious rooms, great staff and amenities you won’t find in many other Antwerp hotels. On the downside: room decorations are outdated and there is no free WiFi in rooms. As I consider WiFi one of modern times’ must haves, I was greatly disappointed when I realised Hilton charges € 15 per day for it. Certainly seeing that Hilton is not your cheapest choice in Antwerp.
Breakfast at Hilton
On a whole, I would still very much recommend staying at Hilton. And if you are not staying in the Hilton, but you do feel you can splurge a little, consider having breakfast there. The breakfast buffet is lovely and if you can score a table near the window overlooking the Groenplaats, it is very much worth the € 25 they’ll charge you for it. Do keep in mind that reservations may be necessary on weekends.
